Wedding Countdown
Time is passing so quickly, I can barely keep up! With all that is taking place in the world, I frequently unplug from social media and take a moment to myself. One thing that I have been focusing on lately is our wedding plans. Now that the community is starting to open back up again during the pandemic, our humble wedding party planning has commenced. What’s next on the list? You guessed it…cake!

I have been in contact with our favorite local bakery Gambino’s to see what magic can be worked for our special day. I am grateful that they periodically check their e-mails, as checking out a variety of bakeries in person right now, isn’t an option. I was able to take these photos of their cake displays when we visited back in February. I love their style and elegance!

Mr. Right and I are already familiar with this bakeries quality of sweet treats as we go there for special desserts like stuffed King Cakes and petit four cakes. Their cookie sandwiches and fudge pecan short bread cookies are some of my favorites as well.
When it comes to cake shopping, I could only imagine the cost…and my guess of around $700 for a 4-5 tiered cake was correct. I honestly didn’t want to spend over $400 for a cake. Mr. Right and I decided to order a smaller wedding cake for display and purchase their Caramel Doberge party squares as added cake for guests. Given there will only be around 60 guests (if they all attend) I think that is going to be enough cake! I can’t wait to see what ours comes out to look like! I passed along some inspiration photos, so now we just wait.
