It is almost the weekend and boy am I in need of it! Between the switch of time with Day Light Savings and the chaos at work, I am absolutely beat. Nevertheless, I wanted to make time for another Life Update and share my thoughts.

Work Life
In short, things have been crazy. Not only is the creative team up against repeated deadlines, world events effecting businesses on an international level, but we’ve also been a bit short handed. In all honesty, I need a vacation and soon. I’ve been trying to save up my vacation time for wedding events where I will need off and for later in the year during the Christmas holiday, but I sure could use a break now. On another note, I can’t wait to see all the cute infant/toddler feeding products that I’ve designed hit the big box stores like Wal-Mart, Target, Buy Buy Baby and Meijer.
World News
All anyone is thinking about lately, is the COVID-19 Corona Virus. A pandemic that seemed to sweep the world overnight. This illness is spreading faster and faster and the U.S. government as well as my local state government are taking actions to keep the illness at bay. Most schools, churches and work places with high capacity of workers have been closed down for operation (or parred down to “essential staff”). It’s really getting nuts out here when it comes to purchasing daily house hold necessities like toilet paper too. Who knew!? I think a lot of mass panic is happening because of fake news and misinformation. The practices in keeping this thing to a minimum seem to be pretty basic when it comes to flu season and common cold in general. I’m not worried, however I am taking precautions.
At the moment I am more concerned with the work environment and what this will mean for sources of income of either I or Mr. Right is out of work for awhile. A lot of places of businesses are setting up work-from-home if possible and thankfully we have the necessary tools at home (high speed internet, computers, etc) to accommodate that request if need be.
Wedding To-Do’s & More
I didn’t realize just how many smaller tasks are at hand for our wedding party preparation, until I really started checking things off my list. Next week, I plan to order our invitations. Going over areas of the house and realizing what needed to be cleaned, packed and put away, started making me feel overwhelmed (again!). I have a very undeveloped vision of how I want decor to be..and after seeing our guest list grow a bit (over 60 people), I started to panic a bit over seating and how to make guests comfortable. Clearly I’ve never planned any sort of gathering, let alone a marriage celebration. I try to remind myself that it’s our special day and it can be as casual as I want it to be. I don’t have to impress anyone. *sigh* It’ll come together!
